Ask for movement
A still photograph captures one relationship between the stone, camera and light. A short, unfiltered video helps reveal how its appearance changes, especially when the lighting conditions are stated.
Understand scale
Request a view next to a reliable scale and compare it with documented dimensions. Large images are useful for detail but say nothing about a stone’s actual size.
Make room for questions
Before a viewing, share what matters to you: color, a particular outline, inclusion character, a design brief or documentation. A useful conversation begins with a clear purpose.
